The most recent release from 18 year old Pittsburgh native and multi-genre producer HobbesDuende. The album consists of 10 sample-based tracks created between May 2016 and September 2016 and draws from a wide array of genres and influences including boom bap, lo-fi hip hop, trap, soul, jazz, fusion, cosmic jazz, bossa nova, spoken word poetry, latin jazz, and R&B. This is the broadest range of styles that HobbesDuende has tackled thus far and showcases the blending of different musical stylings and cultures into a cohesive, dynamic style that is equally suited for instrumental music as well as the addition of vocalists. The tape features multiple members from the hip-hop collective Foreknowledge of which Hobbes is a member, as well as collaboration with other MCs and musicians. Thanks to all those that contributed to and supported the project during the process of its coming to fruition, and those that continue to support following the release.
